The Call of the Wild (2020)

When I saw this movie trailer featuring Harrison Ford and a story about an epic adventure of a dog, I already had the intent to watch it when it was released.

Use the dog perspective and interact with the human, and tell the epic adventure this way from winter in Alaska during the past Gold Rush period, and then to the spring season.

I like a few scenes, like the postman with the dogs crew moving from place to place to not just deliver post, but carry love. Dogs fight to take the leadership role among the rest of the dos crew. Dogs use their instinct to save the postman from the winter wild land. And eventually this is replaced with telegrams. Harrison Ford ends up taking the adventure to fulfil the dream for his son, adventure in the wild land.

From the reading and noted that this movie is based on the Jack London 1903 novel of the same name. Where in 1935 already have film adaptations been made. Set during the 1890s Klondike Gold Rush, the film follows a dog named Buck as he is stolen from his home in California and sent to the Yukon, where he befriends an old outdoorsman and begins a life-altering adventure.

Have I found my time well spent on watching this movie? Despite it is not as great as Forest Gump, Life of Pi, or even The Secret Life of Walter Mitty alike. I enjoy the time for this warm-heart story. It is a good story. In particular for those looking for watching a movie set in the context in Alaska, winter to spring in the 19 century gold rush period of time.
