Have finsih off another book of Haruki Murakiami (村上春樹)'s novel - South of the Border, West of the Sun [国境の南、太陽の西] (1992) somewhere last week, something in my mind, that why I write this blog article to document it now.

This is the good book worth reading, especially for those have read the classic of Haruki Murakiami's Norwegian Wood (1987). This book is focus on the theme of the mid age family man. Even without the intense feel of being young like in Norwegian Wood, this book is give me the feel of being family man life and event happen in his life that almost change it life.

I read the Mandland China Chinese translation version, before read it due to the packaging impression almost though it will be very bad. By I would like to said it translation is very quality.

Part of the the tile "South of the Border" refers to the song as sung by Nat King Cole. Just like the case for Norwegian Wood. This is the story about Hajime and Shimamoto. Re meet again at the age of 36, Hajime being the successful business person who own and operate two jazz bars, with the someone he is loving during young come to the picture, it create the wave of change of his life. From this book, I wonder whether Haruki Murakiami is sharing some of his experience during the time he is running Jazz bar business.
